Rama is an AMAZING example of a Long Coat German Shepherd bred by Patchwork Shepherds. He is 3 ½ years old.

His temperament is beyond comparison. He has helped pups, dogs, horses and even cats become more social. He will share his bed, food, water and toys with other animals and children. One of his best traits is that he simply WON'T fight!!!! When another dog acts aggressive, Rama will try and get them to play, if they won't, he will go away.

Rama lives with us in the house and has never caused us any grief. No running off, no dumpster diving or counter surfing, no coffee table mis-haps. Not a torn shoe, furniture or anything… not even a potty accident!!!! He has been a super easy dog to train. He is so obedient that he won't eat until you tell him to "get it"!

On top of advanced obedience, Rama is trained as an attack dog. He will locate “the helper”, hold and bite a "bite-sleeve" on command. If an intruder or a visitor that Rama doesn't recognize comes over, Rama gives us a loud bark or fierce growl to alarm us. He will stop barking once he knows the perimeter is safe. He is an excellent watchdog. He is a great observer. Rama's retrieving instincts are tremendous, and he is trained to search and return. Rama recognizes and works off hand signals and verbal commands in both English and German.

Rama is a Boss/Sara puppy. Rama was Patchwork’s pick of the litter. Sara (recently retired) was one of Kim's sweetest females, and Rama has inherited this great quality along with his Dad's striking looks! Rama is the total package! His pedigree reads like a list of GSD all stars!!! He has a medium to long Wolf Grey Sable coat that doesn't require too much maintenance....about 65% less maintenance than a standard coat GSD. He weighs in around 87.6 pounds.

Rama gets walked 2.5 to 6 miles a day and plays ball once or twice a day. The rest of the day he is just cool to sit around the house or in the yard hanging out with us. He doesn't bug us at all... if we can't walk one day or two, or we can't play ball he is cool to just sit around the house!

His mission in life is to have the family together, and he is the happiest when we are all around. He lays on the ground facing us all with the biggest smile you could imagine. He is a true family dog! He LOVES to be pet and cuddled! He is amazing with children!!! When a baby puts its hand into Rama's mouth after a ball Rama will open his mouth wider as not to touch the baby with a tooth. We are actually having our first child because it would be a shame not to raise a child with a dog as cool as Rama!

He is one cool cucumber, you couldn't find a happier, healthier stud to father a GSD pup. He is so confident that he has actually watches fireworks!

He has passed all of his health tests so far including:

Rama has earned an A.K.C. C.G.C. Title (Canine Good Citizens) and he will be going for a G.S.D.C.A. T.T. (temperament test) in July. He is also classified as a E.S.A. Service Animal (Emotional Stability Animal)
